Energising Root Chakra Pranayama

Duration: 5m42

This breathwork technique is strongest when practised in the morning, when we perhaps feel a bit hazy still from our state of sleep. It helps to awaken Prana (life force energy) so we feel connected and energised throughout the day.

Our Root Chakra also referred to as Muladhara is located at the base of the spine and is the energy centre through which we feel grounded and safe in ourselves and the world. It is our foundation for self realisation and healing. We can at times feel ungrounded, experience a lack of physical vitality, feel numb or at times even feeldissociated when the energy of the Root Chakra is low.

It is important that we do not force this technique but that we gentle allow the energy to awaken.
